The new exit, which routinely causes kilometres-long back-ups down the hard shoulder, could be operational as soon as October 2020The finishing date for the long-awaited new A-7 motorway exit in Arroyo de la Miel has been brought forward by more than two years.

Public Works minister, José Luis Ábalos, said, following a meeting in Madrid on Wednesday with the mayor, Víctor Navas, that the works were going “at a good pace” and that it was possible that the finishing date could be “brought forward”.

Sources within the ministry confirmed that the new exit, which routinely causes kilometres-long back-ups down the hard shoulder, could be operational as soon as October 2020.

The new completion time, according to Navas, “is without doubt one of the greatest pieces of news for the people of Benalmádena”.
